Group of twenty-seven gelatin silver prints by the Hungarian-French photographer Brassai (1899-1984), printed c.1955.

Each print approximately 9 1/4 x 7 inches. Original photographs used to illustrate the first edition of Henry Miller’s Quiet Days in Clichy, published by Olympia Press, Paris, 1956, and by Hans Reitzel, Copenhagen, 1958.

Photographs have edit lines for cropping the image, placed by either publisher or photographer.  From an exhibition at the Howard Greenberg Gallery, New York, 2015.
